I'm a 7th grader in concert band and I got this pookie for my birthday. I love everything about the ts-400 except for the octave key. It requires a lot of pressure to push down imo. Overall 4.2/5

We had purchased the TS-400 model in April 2024 for my 14 year old High School Freshman so that he would have his own instrument through his high school experiences. Within this same year he has accomplished many goals, such as 2025 W.Va. 2nd Chair Tenor Saxophone, 2025 West Virginia University High School Honor Bands, 2025 West Virginia Wesleyan Jazz Honor Bands, and 2024 249th Army Band All State Masterclass. And his freshman year isn't even over yet. 98% of his accomplishments is through his own dedication, hard work, etc. but the quality of instrument definitely matters. This student horn through Jean Paul has given my child wonderful and lifelong memories and the quality and sound is beyond measure for price, quality, etc. Highly recommend this instrument and Highly Recommend Jean Paul quality ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Need using this tenor for 2 years and she’s treated me well and has a beautiful sound that you can’t beat for the price. Quality is very high as we’ll consider the price. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new sax or upgrade from a used horn!

I bought a tenor saxophone from Jeal Paul in 2024. I am an adult student over the age of 50 and thought it would be a great hobby to take up. I did a lot of research and for the price of a second hand tenor saxophone a got a new saxophone with a warranty and a great team. Tim and his team replied to my email and answered my questions. I when took my new saxophone to my lessons my teacher could not believe how great it played and said he could use it as a pro. I love my Horn. If you are looking at renting or buying an instrument I would recommend talking to the team at Jean Paul. You will get more for money with them.

Ordered with two-day air delivery on a Tuesday and horn arrived as expected on the following Thursday. This sax was setup very well and plays great right out of the case. I've played Alto for over 50 years and always wanted a Tenor, but it had to be a quality instrument at an affordable price. This is the one! Love it!

The sound on the tenor sax is wonderful and the customer service is terrific! We had a little problem with a damaged part but it was resolved immediately and we plan to order an alto next.

Ooooohhhhhhhh woww. Amazing Saxophone. Very Saxy sounds. The stock mouthpiece fit very well in my mouth. The reeds provided worked very well. Although, overtime, you might wanna look into buying some other reeds. Overall, this instrument was worth the price.

This might help some budding screaming tenor players. Take it for what it's worth. I love my TS-400.

I bought a beautiful TS-400 model. To be honest, I was pretty shocked by the quality level. The instrument plays well, everything is perfect, looks astonishing as well. Besides that, I received a mouthpiece for free, it was a Black Friday gift but anyway, it's a huge addon. Thank you, guys!
The product was shipped to Europe pretty quickly with no issues so far. I highly recommend Jean Paul brand. It's great luck I found guys in this competitive market.

This is my first transition from alto saxophone to tenor and was very easy. The finger positions are confortable . No problem to play from the top to the bottom.
Very easy to blow. I never thought it would be so easy. The keys work great.

Love the Jean Paul tenor saxophone! It came highly recommended from Bob Boyce as a great horn to step up from my alto and doesn’t disappoint!! The only concern was the stock mouthpiece, but that was easily remedied by a trip to my music store!

A well adjusted instrument right out of the box. The adjust screws are great for tweaking from a leak light. The pad seating is 'spot on' meaning I could use the compression sound as a set of conga drums on a microphone. After tuning the instrument the cork is bit tight and do use cork grease to break the cork in. The scale and timbre are very good far exceeding other saxes in this price range. Well as Silver tenor the finish and look is 'stunning'. Most marching bands have turned to silver and I'm glad to see 'Jean Paul' has this offering.

I got my silver tenor a few weeks ago. I waited too long arguing with myself on getting a Jean Paul or second hand “brand” name. What a waste of time. I LOVE my Jean Paul tenor so much! Great quality, tone, and response AND she’s so beautiful! So happy!

I found Jean Paul through BetterSax and couldn’t believe there was such a great sax for $700. It was exactly what I was looking for to pick up the horn after 10 years. After months of research and knowing that JP’s customer service was solid I bought mine and I couldn’t be happier. It got to me really fast and I was immediately blown away by this sax. It feels amazing to play and it’s so easy to play. I’ll definitely be buying from JP again when I’m ready to add an alto to my collection

I am a brand new saxophone player, but i have been playing other instruments for a couple decades now. I can say that I am exceptionally impressed by this saxophone, especially for the price.
Immediately out of the box, I could tell it was well built and visually stunning. Everything fit nicely together and I had everything I needed right in the case.
One thing I was particularly surprised by was how nice the instrument sounded considering I had never played a note on a saxophone in my life. It was surprisingly easy for me to get my first sounds, and I was impressed with how much I liked what I was hearing considering I am a beginner. After two weeks of playing the horn I can safely say that the saxophone is helping me get better rather than holding me back, and the sound keeps getting better.
It is also worth noting that customer service was excellent as others have noted, and I opted for their upgraded mouth piece. I can’t really speak for the stock mouth piece, as I haven’t really played it much.
Overall very happy with this saxophone, and If you have always wanted to get into playing the saxophone like I did, I can’t recommend this enough.

Very high quality for a budget tenor. Plays excellent right out of the box and easy to control. Best tenor for anyone willing to pay $700.
