Intermediate Tenor Saxophone

I picked up the saxophone again after 50 years coming out of HS and couldn’t be happier with this horn that I purchased from Jean Paul. Thank you.

I received my TS-660 a week ago and have been enjoying it daily. I started playing alto sax again about a month ago after 40 years away, and also got a Jean Paul SS-860 soprano sax (which I really like, though I'm still working on my intonation a bit). I had never played a tenor sax until a week ago, and it's been surprisingly easy to adapt to it. The TS-660 sounds very nice and plays well. One of my best instrument choices ever.
I am using a JodyJazz HR* Custom Dark #5 mouthpiece, a JodyJazz Power Ring ligature, and either a Jazz Select #2 reed or a L'egere French Cut #2 reed. The combination is a pleasure to play.
My Jean Paul TR-860 should arrive tomorrow and I look forward to learning trumpet.
I have bought five instruments from Jean Paul in the last few years and have been pleased with all of them.

Received my order on time every thing was in place the sax was just what I had expected I am very very pleased with the Jean Paul TS 660 everything except the strap was I guess it for a kid but overall I will highly recommend a Jesn Paul Sax to anyone keep up the good work

I loved the responsiveness of the sax and while the cork was a bit loose from the neckpiece it’s an easy fix.

My new saxophone was delivered in a timely matter. It looked good, felt good and played well, right out of the box.

My silver TS-660 arrived on schedule in under a week, and I was playing it as soon as I opened the sturdy packaging. Jean-Paul even sent a video of it being tested in advance, so my anticipation was high. The quality of the instrument far exceeds its cost IMHO, and I am amazed by the sound (admittedly using my own mouthpiece, ligature and reed), ergonomics, and appearance. Could not be more happy!

It is pretty good, the low notes are really easy to hit and the high range sings well. The only real issue I found was within the altissimo range, it is a bit harder to hit it than on the tenor I was using beforehand.

TS660, finally arrived. Not in playable condition. The bell brace is bent. Have an 80 dollar estimate from Mundt Music. To repair and replace pads. You took my money then five days later asked for my drivers license and the order number before you shipped. If there were negative five stars that would be the rating.
The seven dollar mouthpiece is junk. I have tried to call and speak to customer service but apparently my number has been added to a do not answer list. I specifically asked for a horn in playable condition, the horn I received was not checked, it was not tuned, it was not adjusted. Unhappy with everything that relates to your company. The horn was double boxed, it was not damaged in shipping. Instead of buying a new TS660, I should have bought a used Yamaha!

I’m brand new to the saxophone and was trying to find an affordable option that was still made with quality. After reading positive reviews on other sites and YouTube, I decided to go with Jean Paul. Their staff was incredibly supportive and helpful in guiding me through selecting the right instrument for me. Shipping was fast and easy. While it was in route they actually sent me a video of my saxophone being set up and played to show the instrument was working and ready to go - how cool is that?!! Love the instrument and the bundled accessories are great. First rate experience in all areas!!! The Jean Paul team and their product gets my highest recommendation!! And I’m really happy to be a new member of the Jean Paul “family”!

The neck bent nearly in half while trying to put on the mouthpiece. I have been playing sax for a decade this has never been an issue for me. Extremely disappointed. Cheap craftsmanship. Do better

As an adult, first-time sax player, I wanted a quality horn, but didn't want to break the bank. So far, my TS-660 feels like the perfect choice. As the reviews all state, it played great right out of the box--give or take a few hundred squeaks and squawks due to my being a brand new player ;-). As I continue to practice and develop my embouchure, the tones coming out of the sax just get better and better. I fully expect this horn to last me for years to come. If and when I ever purchase a more expensive "professional" saxophone, it will be because I want to, not because I need to. The TS-660 is that good.

I own a Yamaha YAS 62-iii, it is a solid alto but I wanted to pick up tenor so I shopped around. Saw this brand and decided to give it a shot and was not disappointed at all. Plays like a Yamaha YTS Custom Z but at a 3rd of the price. Solid case with no wiggle room, saxophone sounds smooth and easy to play. Definitely will be buying from Jean Paul USA here on out, their quality is right up there with Yamaha but significantly cheaper. If you're looking for a horn that isn't one of the well-known brands (Yamaha, Selmer, Yanigisawa) but can still keep up, I highly recommend Jean Paul USA's intermediate to professional line.

This is a great looking saxophone and I think the price is as well. It arrived within a week, the packing was very good. I would love to give a 5 star rating but I’ve asked three times to please send me the missing neck strap and they promised it would be mailed that day. I’ve been waiting for the neck strap since January 4th. Secondly, I questioned why my TS-660 is labelled TS-600? They informed me that some of their instruments are mislabelled.

In general the Sax is a good build but some of the palm and lower keys could be more accessible to the fingers. For the money the sax is a good value and well put together. I am still getting the feel of the horn in general and getting use to the lower and palm key placement.

Sax is easy to play, has good sound, and the keys are responsive. Arrived with a spring off but was an easy fix and there was some confusion with the model number stamped on the sax. Customer service was very responsive. I also like the case.

The saxophone plays beautifully, the build quality is on par for other saxophones with the intermediate branding. If you were to buy this saxophone, you will not be disappointed by how it performs.

My main issues come with how the sax arrived. Out of the box, one of the spring steels for the side E key was out of socket and had to be put back in place. The next day, I discovered that the front F key was not in fact working as intended. I had to bend the lever behind the key in order to bring it close enough to press down the key properly.

I also did not receive a neck strap or the duster with the instrument. The cap for the duster was neatly installed in the saxophone, despite there being ample opportunity for the duster to have actually come with the sax.

Overall pleased with the instrument: the two quick repairs I had to perform were not a big hassle, but they are things to note when looking to buy a sax.

First of all, GREAT customer service. I got my instrument in 2 days. The instrument is solid instrument. I played it right away and it was in perfect condition. The x4 mouthpiece is also amazing. I like it better than my old Jumbo Java. The instrument looks great, sounds great and has a great price.

I've really enjoyed my purchase. The supplied mouthpiece fits the neck too loosely. All my other mouthpieces fit snugly. The lower octave pad was a bit sticky, taken care of. Very happy otherwise.

My daughter loves it. Only complaint is one of the keys feels loose. She is going to bring it home for me to look at. Was packed very well and everything looked great on it.
